ISBA has announced that Hamish McVey, Director of Marketing at British Airways will take up the role of Chair for the ISBA Executive Committee. Hamish has been a member of ExCom for over five years and has made a valuable contribution during this time.
Hamish has worked for British Airways for over 15 years in various brand and marketing roles. In 2022 he was promoted to Director of Marketing. In his role he is responsible for many of the areas of marketing which are of great importance to ISBA such as media, agency relationships and sustainable advertising.
The ISBA Executive Committee play a vital role, overseeing direction and delivery of strategy acting on behalf of the membership as a whole. As Chair, Hamish with help guide the agenda and ensure important issues are brought to the Executive Committee for their consideration.
Commenting on his appointment Hamish said “ISBA is a vital organisation for UK marketers, delivering real outcomes to address some of the many challenges ISBA faces today. I am proud to have been offered this opportunity and look forward to working with Phil Smith and his team.”
His appointment comes at a key time for ISBA who have just set out their priorities for the year ahead. These priorities include launching Origin, the cross-media measurement platform, as a global prototype to meet the WFA’s Industry Principles.
Phil Smith, ISBA Director General said “I am thrilled that Hamish has agreed to take on this important role as ExCom Chair. Over the last five years he has been an active and committed member who has provided wise counsel. I am looking forward to working with him in his new role.”
Hamish will start as Chair with immediate effect.
