New ISBA Media Services Framework re-emphasises Advertiser-Agency transparency

ISBA is delighted to announce the launch of the new Media Services Framework 2025, an evolution of the 2021 version and following on from previous versions in 2018 and 2016.

The Media Services Framework is a comprehensive agreement designed to govern the relationship between advertisers and their media agencies. It sets out the terms for media strategy, planning, and buying services, aiming to bring clarity and transparency to these relationships. This ensures that both parties have a clear understanding of their obligations and expectations.

The 2025 framework takes transparency to the next level and addresses agency non-compliance in proprietary media. It also refines the Generative AI elements, making them more accessible for advertisers to implement.

A key focus of the 2025 framework is to ensure agencies adhere to their contractual obligations and improve transparency in their operations. This update is the result of extensive consultations with agencies, advertisers, auditors, and intermediaries.

Nick Louisson, Director of Agency Services at ISBA, said: "The Media Services Framework is a testament to ISBA’s commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with our partners. We believe these updates will significantly enhance transparency and compliance in the industry."
