The headline speakers for the advertising industry’s flagship event, LEAD 2023, have been announced by the Advertising Association, IPA and ISBA. Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Michelle Donelan MP will make her first speech to the industry while Lucy Powell MP, Shadow DCMS Secretary, will outline Labour’s plans for the creative industries.
Alessandra Bellini (CCO, Tesco and President, Advertising Association), Julian Douglas (International CEO & Vice Chairman, VCCP and President, IPA), and Margaret Jobling (CMO, NatWest and President, ISBA) will share their views on the industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities. Broadcaster and journalist Nina Hossain will be the host at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, London, on January 25, with the option to also join online.
LEAD will look at the UK’s economic outlook and the industry’s biggest themes, tackling talent and how the industry can build an advertising workforce to meet changing demands; advertisers’ accountability; how advertising can be even more effective; and how creativity can be an accelerator for growth. Meta’s Natalie Trye and Omnicom Media Group UK’s Dan Clays will talk about progress on inclusion and as the industry builds toward the next All In Census on March 15. The full agenda will be released shortly.
Returning in person after a two-year absence, LEAD will assemble over 400 senior advertising professionals across the combined memberships of the Advertising Association, IPA, and ISBA who together cover the entire advertising ecosystem, to network in the stunning surroundings of the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.
LEAD takes place from 08.30-14:00 on 25 January 2023. Tickets can be booked via the Advertising Association website, with special rates available for Advertising Association, IPA and ISBA members as well as under 30s. Online-only tickets are available at a reduced rate.
The event is supported by Platinum Partner, IAB UK Gold Standard and Meta, Gold Partner.
