The exclusive ISBA member meetings with Facebook’s senior UK management team in a Town Hall style, aim to address member questions around operational and brand safety issues under the Chatham House rule.
Once more, social media platforms, and Facebook in particular, are in the headlines following The Wall Street Journal’s Facebook Files series – see ISBA’s recent statement in response.
In response to this, Facebook has agreed to devote 60 minutes of this session, to lay out its position on the required regulatory landscape, including the upcoming Online Harms legislation in the UK. This will be led by Rebecca Stimson, Public Policy Director for Facebook in the UK.
The session will also include an introduction to Facebook post-cookie PETs (Privacy Enhancing Technologies) initiative with Ben Savage, Software Engineer.
This meeting is held under the strict Chatham House rule and Facebook’s, Nick Baughan, Director of Agencies, UK&I will facilitate.
