Inside ISBA's 'Responsible Use of Generative AI' event

Generative AI is a top-of-mind issue for marketers. And, as adoption becomes more widespread, the pressure on advertisers to make responsible use of the technology has risen to the surface.

The theme of responsibility, alongside consumer concern over use of Artificial Intelligence by businesses, was the focus of ISBA's event, hosted at Google's offices in London.

ISBA has its own guidelines in the shape of "Advertising industry principles for the use of Generative AI in Creative Advertising" that were formulated in partnership with the IPA. These guidelines are reflective of the need to start collaborative conversations and to think about how Gen AI is adopted responsibly and ethically.

ISBA has also produced a Generative AI Addendum to its Media Services Framework, which helps advertisers in their partnerships with agencies.
