Representation in Advertising Tracker - August 2023

Twice a year, ISBA, in collaboration with NatWest, Marks & Spencer and research company Opinium conduct a survey to find out how representative of society the public find the advertising they see on TV.

The results from the August 2023 wave of the Representation in Advertising tracker show that views that TV ads reflect modern British society have increased, as well as the belief that ads represent all groups of society.

Whilst UK adults still mostly overestimate ad representation, compared to diverse groups, the gaps are closing.
